Together We Deliver.

That’s one of our most deeply held beliefs, and our team is dedicated to upholding that core value now more than ever.

We have received many questions about freight and shipping during the COVID-19 pandemic, so we created an FAQ to answer your most common inquiries and what we are doing to help you.

Is that the best rate you can offer?

Yes, of course! We aren’t just interested in the current load, but every load! That’s why we’ll always give you as competitive a rate as possible. We work hard to keep you as a long-term customer.

How do you track your shipments?

We have a GPS system called MacroPoint — one of the most commonly used shipment trackers. We can give you actual GPS locations and our personal updates with the drivers. We also have a Customer Portal on our website where you can login any time and receive updates, tracking information, submit for payment and more.

Is my damaged shipment covered?

Yes, we have a reputable insurance company to make sure you get the replacement or repair value for any damage to a shipment.

FLI is dedicated to you, your business and your freight. We’re here to give you peace of mind and the best service possible during these stressful times. Contact our team today to learn how we can help you.

  • Tire management
  • Fuel filters
  • Transmission lubricants
  • Body repair
  • Axles and alignment

When you schedule regular maintenance, you’ll save money in the long run.

And if you want to continue the trend of saving money, then partner with FLI!

We always say “Together We Deliver” because we believe in collaboration. Our job is to make your job so simple, it doesn’t even feel like work. Then you can focus on the other important aspects of your business.

Stay Healthy On The Road

By | News | No Comments

When you are a commercial driver, it’s important to focus on good health all year long, especially since you spend so many days on the road. Because if you take care of your heart, it’ll take care of you!

First, there’s a major health problem many of us face: too much sitting.

Did you know…sitting more than 11 hours a day makes you 40% more likely to die within three years than someone who sits less than four hours a day?

We also know that, unfortunately, sometimes sitting for long periods of time is out of your control. Whether you have a desk job or drive for commercial trucking, you’re probably spending a lot of time sitting.

The good news is that 30 minutes of exercise a day, 5 days a week, could increase your life expectancy and reduce the risk of diseases such as cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer’s.

We hope you’re motivated to get out there and exercise. Even a few simple changes make a huge difference: take the stairs, walk your dog or jog in place during your lunch break.

While you take care of your heart, FLI takes care of you! Our team specializes in ensuring your freight shipment is handled with care. So let us handle your freight and give you more time to focus on you. Contact the FLI team today to learn about our offerings.

COVID-19 Update: Yes, We’re Still Delivering

Dear Valued Customer,

Freight Logistics, Inc. is committed to our customers and providing you with exceptional service during these uncertain times. Our company is taking the necessary steps to ensure you receive the same high-quality customer service you always come to expect. We are all traversing unknown waters, but we want you to know you can still trust us with your freight shipment.

We are now working from our office and from home. We have seamlessly transferred to providing the same service remotely so you, most likely, won’t even notice a difference.

The following are steps we have taken to ensure we continue to serve you:

  1.  We have distributed a guideline to employees in our office for safety protocols to provide distancing and commonsense practices for our office environment.
  2. All our Customer Sales Representatives have the capability to work remotely to ensure there is no interruption of service.
  3. During our dispatch process to give drivers pick up information, we are asking if they have any Coronavirus, cold, or flu-like symptoms. We will not send them into a pick-up facility if they answer yes to any of those questions.
  4. We are contacting delivery for every load to make sure that the consignee will be open to receive shipments and what measures they have put in place.
  5. We can forward calls from any extension directly to the assigned person for any account.
  6. We will implement any additional measures necessary to continue service as needed.

If you have additional questions, please contact me personally.

Regards,

Scott Engle

Check Road Conditions Before You Drive

By | News | No Comments

While the chaos of holiday driving is in the rearview mirror, many of us have to occasionally travel the mountain passes or other high elevation roads during the winter.

Whether you’re taking a weekend vacation, driving for work or hauling freight — be cautious — because many roads are still susceptible to dangerous weather, such as snow, ice or fog.

So how can you best prepare for a safe road trip?

In addition to packing extra food, water, blankets and other emergency supplies, knowledge is an important tool in your kit.

If you’re driving in Oregon, visit TripCheck to get current road and weather conditions.

Pro tip: View the cameras specific to the highways you’re traveling for a real time view of the weather and road conditions!

At Freight Logistics, Inc., we handle your freight shipment with care. Our team has the experience and knowledge to ensure everything runs smoothly. Just as you would prepare for a road trip, visit our website to learn more about what we do and how FLI can help you.

Winter Driving Advice

By | News | No Comments

Severe weather can be frightening for travelers, no matter how much driving experience you have. Winter storms, bad weather and dangerous road conditions are a factor in nearly half a million crashes and over 2,000 road deaths every winter, according to research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

Before you head out, whether for work or pleasure, make sure you know how to handle a road emergency if one should arise.

  • Keep cold weather gear in your car — including extra food and water, warm clothes, a flashlight, a glass scraper, blankets, medications, etc.
  • Make sure your tires are properly inflated and have enough tread.
  • Keep at least half a tank of fuel in your vehicle.
  • Never warm up a vehicle in an enclosed area, like a garage.
  • Do not use cruise control when driving on ice and snow.

With plenty of winter weather ahead this season, make sure you’re prepared to deal with a potential emergency or dangerous road conditions.

FLI wants to keep your shipment safe in all seasons. That’s why we’ve assembled a team of the best professionals in the transportation industry. If you’re curious about our team members or our awesome services, give us a call!

How To Best Use Your Navigation System

By | News | No Comments

Navigation systems are great tools. They’re useful if you’re traveling in a different area, trying to locate a new business, or planning a route.

However, GPS or other navigation systems should never replace good old common sense. Even when using GPS, here a few things to remember:

  • Your GPS or navigation app may not have the most updated information. Stay alert and watch for any changes that the GPS doesn’t show.
  • If you’re in an unfamiliar area, stay on state roads. Don’t take detours on unknown roads you’ve never traveled before.
  • Change your plans if necessary. If your GPS directs you to a route you’re uncomfortable taking, consult a map, ask a local or stay the night in town. It’s better to postpone your trip than get stuck on an unknown road.
  • Check road conditions by calling 511 or visiting TripCheck.com.

Whether it’s icy roads in winter, or the possibility of summer wildfires, road conditions could change in an instant. Navigation systems are helpful, but don’t rely solely on them to get you to and from your destination.

However, you can rely on FLI! Our team offers the best transport services and has the knowledge and experience to ensure your freight is safe and secure. Contact us today and put your freight shipment in capable hands.
