How To Stay Hydrated

Hot temperatures have arrived, and it’s more important than ever to stay hydrated.

Whether you drive cross-country for work, or embark on a family road trip, these tips will help you stay hydrated during the summer months.

Combine water with fresh fruit

Not a fan of plain water? Mix it up by adding in your favorite fruits or veggies to create new flavor combinations. Or try sparkling water, which has natural carbonation and all the great benefits of regular water.

Increase electrolytes

If you are dehydrated, drink something with electrolytes to rehydrate faster. However, watch out for added sugars that are often in drinks with electrolytes, such as sports drinks. To limit the amount of extra, unnecessary sugar, try a healthier option like coconut water.

Eat water-rich foods

You don’t have to get your water only in liquid form. Foods such as pineapple, strawberries, celery, cucumber and broccoli also help you rehydrate.
