Safe Driving Habits

Are you a safe driver?

Summertime means more vacations and an increased number of cars on the road. Most drivers — yourself included — are usually traveling with the kids, friends or pets, which means you could be more distracted. Whether it’s due to other drivers or chaos inside the car, it’s important to keep your focus while driving.

Here are 3 ways to reduce driving distractions:

  • Turn off your phone or put it in “do not disturb” mode.
  • Know where you’re going. Before you leave, program your destination into your navigation system.
  • Create spaces for your passengers. Whether you’re driving with your kids or pets — or both! — make sure they have their own space and are safely secured in the back seat.

By practicing these simple techniques, you’ll reduce distractions and set a good example for other drivers and your passengers.
