How To Stay Healthy On The Road

By | News | No Comments

The coronavirus has upended several things, but the transportation and freight industry will keep on trucking. Entering into fall and winter, we want you to stay healthy while working on the road.

As a driver, you spend a lot of time in your truck. However, there are times when you may be at increased risk of exposure to the coronavirus. Potential sources of exposure include contact with truck stop attendants, store workers, dock workers and other truck drivers. You also increase your risk by touching your nose, mouth, or eyes after contacting surfaces handled by a person with COVID-19.

It’s also important to know the common symptoms of COVID-19, which include:

  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • New loss of taste and/or smell

If you believe you contracted COVID-19, follow these steps:

  • Contact your supervisor.
  • Stay home if you have symptoms.
  • Isolate at home and do not return to work until you meet the criteria to do so.

Also, wash your hands, maintain a 6-foot distance from others and wear a face mask. If you are on the road this season, continue to practice proper hygiene.

FLI wants our customers to stay healthy and safe. If you have any questions for our team or about our operations, please call or email us.

If you haven’t seen them yet, we made web portals for our customers and carriers so you can track important information.

The Customer Portal and Carrier Portal are there to ensure transparency so you can get the information you need, when you need it.

These tools give you the freedom to stay informed and updated regarding your loads and shipments.

Together We Deliver.

That’s one of our most deeply held beliefs, and our team is dedicated to upholding that core value now more than ever.

We have received many questions about freight and shipping during the COVID-19 pandemic, so we created an FAQ to answer your most common inquiries and what we are doing to help you.

Is that the best rate you can offer?

Yes, of course! We aren’t just interested in the current load, but every load! That’s why we’ll always give you as competitive a rate as possible. We work hard to keep you as a long-term customer.

How do you track your shipments?

We have a GPS system called MacroPoint — one of the most commonly used shipment trackers. We can give you actual GPS locations and our personal updates with the drivers. We also have a Customer Portal on our website where you can login any time and receive updates, tracking information, submit for payment and more.

Is my damaged shipment covered?

Yes, we have a reputable insurance company to make sure you get the replacement or repair value for any damage to a shipment.

FLI is dedicated to you, your business and your freight. We’re here to give you peace of mind and the best service possible during these stressful times. Contact our team today to learn how we can help you.

Preventative Maintenance For A Better Tomorrow

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

FLI takes care of your freight shipments. But if you’re in charge of a fleet, then you know it’s just as important that the trucks are in good condition.

When done right, preventative fleet maintenance maximizes the performance, safety and fuel efficiency of trucks.

To keep your fleet running well, make sure a knowledgeable technician provides:

  • Tire management
  • Fuel filters
  • Transmission lubricants
  • Body repair
  • Axles and alignment

When you schedule regular maintenance, you’ll save money in the long run.

And if you want to continue the trend of saving money, then partner with FLI!

We always say “Together We Deliver” because we believe in collaboration. Our job is to make your job so simple, it doesn’t even feel like work. Then you can focus on the other important aspects of your business.

When you’re ready to join forces with the best freight shipment team around, call or email FLI to learn about the next steps.

Stay Healthy On The Road

By | News | No Comments

When you are a commercial driver, it’s important to focus on good health all year long, especially since you spend so many days on the road. Because if you take care of your heart, it’ll take care of you!

First, there’s a major health problem many of us face: too much sitting.

Did you know…sitting more than 11 hours a day makes you 40% more likely to die within three years than someone who sits less than four hours a day?

We also know that, unfortunately, sometimes sitting for long periods of time is out of your control. Whether you have a desk job or drive for commercial trucking, you’re probably spending a lot of time sitting.

The good news is that 30 minutes of exercise a day, 5 days a week, could increase your life expectancy and reduce the risk of diseases such as cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer’s.

We hope you’re motivated to get out there and exercise. Even a few simple changes make a huge difference: take the stairs, walk your dog or jog in place during your lunch break.

While you take care of your heart, FLI takes care of you! Our team specializes in ensuring your freight shipment is handled with care. So let us handle your freight and give you more time to focus on you. Contact the FLI team today to learn about our offerings.

COVID-19 Update: Yes, We’re Still Delivering

Dear Valued Customer,

Freight Logistics, Inc. is committed to our customers and providing you with exceptional service during these uncertain times. Our company is taking the necessary steps to ensure you receive the same high-quality customer service you always come to expect. We are all traversing unknown waters, but we want you to know you can still trust us with your freight shipment.

We are now working from our office and from home. We have seamlessly transferred to providing the same service remotely so you, most likely, won’t even notice a difference.

The following are steps we have taken to ensure we continue to serve you:

  1.  We have distributed a guideline to employees in our office for safety protocols to provide distancing and commonsense practices for our office environment.
  2. All our Customer Sales Representatives have the capability to work remotely to ensure there is no interruption of service.
  3. During our dispatch process to give drivers pick up information, we are asking if they have any Coronavirus, cold, or flu-like symptoms. We will not send them into a pick-up facility if they answer yes to any of those questions.
  4. We are contacting delivery for every load to make sure that the consignee will be open to receive shipments and what measures they have put in place.
  5. We can forward calls from any extension directly to the assigned person for any account.
  6. We will implement any additional measures necessary to continue service as needed.

If you have additional questions, please contact me personally.

Regards,

Scott Engle

President
